It is easy to get caught up in current events. Indeed, most of the struggles in our Christian walk will be due to some kind of a distraction from Christ. However, we must understand that God seeks to see the image of His son revealed in our lives, and is more concerned with who we are than what we do.
Truly all that matters is Christ's kingdom and the word thereof. Draw near to God and pray for the dying world. We must love one another and " Let love be without hypocrisy" (Romans 12:9). Our only motive should be love and in order for us to do this we must guard our hearts because the enemy seeks to distract us from love.
Anger, bitterness, fear, resentment when present are evidence that we have taken our eyes off the savior and are focused on the world around us.
I encourage you to focus on the work of the kingdom and be in peace. No thing comes to us that God cannot reach.
